No to Radioactive

Last year, I did a research on the radioactive tragedy that happened to Chernobyl many years ago. It was my research topic for one of my subject related to sustainable and environmental engineering. I study sustainable every year and almost in each of my semester, after the research on Chernobyl that got me super extra worried about Malaysia handling a chemical processing plant producing radioactive wastes. The last thing I want, the last thing we want, are radioactive wastes being produced in Malaysia.

Okay I understand Chernobyl case cannot be a comparison to this Lynas plant. Chernobyl was a nuclear plant, Lynas is just a simple chemical processing plant. Yes, it's only a chemical processing plant, no nuclear reactor no nothing. That's what the authorities are trying to tell us. However the wastes that the plant produce are radioactive. They claimed the doses are low, in fact many times lower than other radioactive element. Try inhaling the same amount for the next 50 years. The thing about radioactive element is its half life, it is there for a thousand and million years.

In the first place, why is this refinery plant built in Malaysia? Not Australia? Why bother coming to Malaysia? Why bother spending extra cost to go through all the hassle of transporting the rare earth here? I know Malaysia has cheaper labour, we have the raw material that you want nearby Lynas in Pahang. But hello? This is Malaysia! A country famous for corruption, famous for the weak enforcement of law. Our rivers are dirty as hell, a simple job for keeping the river clean fails. I've never in my life see a clean river in Malaysia. Even in the KL city, the river are muddy and yellowish. And you expect us to handle radioactive wastes? A proper wastes are already difficult enough to manage, let alone radioactive wastes? wtf.

You say its very safe if its managed well. Who can give a 100% guarantee to radioactive shits. The risk is low but heck we want 0 risk. First world and so much more experienced country like Japan and USA failed to deal with radioactive disasters. Let alone Malaysia? You say it's so safe bla bla bla. China who used to produce 90% of the world rare earth had scaled down their production due to health cancer concerned. So now Lynas wants to take over, and you choose to build it here. The funny thing is, it has been given a 12 year free of tax benifits. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS? Has our fucked up government gone nuts?

GO BACK TO AUSTRALIA AND KILL YOUR THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE. NOT HERE.

Even better, if it were in Australia you don't have to kill anyone. Cuz Australia has so much better waste management and law enforcement. Malaysia tak boleh.

Before I talk about Valentine's Day, let's talk about yesterday night teehee.

By drove all the way to TTDI because I requested for the infamous Sid's Pub's burger! I know I know I'm a damn evil girlfriend, I only have these sorts of request like once in a year. I believe they are plenty of other way more evil girlfriends. hahahah. I feel damn guilty also okay, but its just way too much to resist such temptation. So, I damn *gam dong*. Thank you very much my love!

Cannot believe I saw him with my own eyes , inches away hahah. He saw me too but too bad la he will forget about me the next second. *shakes head*

Okay back to my valentines ♥

Because this year's valentine's day was on Tuesday, a weekday, a working day, we postponed our celebration to Friday. However to be honest, I feel it's a waste of money to celebrate on the actual day itself. Perhaps I have been in a too long too stable comfortable stage in a relationship, Valentine's day to me its just like any other day. Nothing so special, spending time with your loved ones is more than enough. To me, anniversary is more important hehe =)

So on Friday we had "mall hopping" session. We hopped from Midvalley to Pavilion to KLCC. Spent almost 20 bucks on parking. wtfbbq. We finally settled down in KLCC for a meal at Ben's.

I always wanted to try Ben's. Passed by Ben's a gazillion time but never had the chance to try. Once I sat down I read the reviews on foursquare *should have done it before sitting down rite*. All the reviews were saying the one in Pavilion is million times better than KLCC's. oh shit.

mushroom soup. omg the weirdest mushroom soup ever!! It has truffle oil in it. like shit. I remembered Gordon Ramsay mentioned something about truffle oil in masterchef. He said it was the most pungent ridiculous ingredients ever known to chef. Was this the truffle oil that he complained about. If it was he was so damn right.

some mushroom spaghetti. not bad.

crispy duck comfit. as recommended by one of the waiter over there. it was nice for the initial bites. but turn ohmygodlikeshit after that. I don't know if it was suppose to be like this but the oil was dripping from my mouth when I was trying to put the pasta into my mouth. =.= it was so...ewwwy? and the duck comfit was so salty. urgh!

but the drinks are nice =)

see the oil? urgh. mayb it was just me but this dish was just bad. Should try Pavilion's next time.

my family. my aunt and uncle from melbourne were back for cny. This only happens once in a blue moon. I know this was the happiest day for both of my grandpa and grandma. All of their children are back =) moreover it was my grandpa's 80th birthday!! but still, my Uncle Denis wasn't here. Still not perfect. sigh.

Everyone has their very own favourite childhood memory. And because its a childhood memory it means so much to you and you can't help but figure it somehow helped shaped the person that you are today.
She's one of the most important person in my life. She was my favourite childhood companion heh, she taught me stuff that beyond words can describe. You know how I always mention how much I love Sound of Music, Marry Poppin and all other classic Disney cartoons? She was the one who brought all the VCRs and sang and danced together with me, even before I could even talk. My English was extremely good when I was a kid, thanks to her perfect English. =) Too bad my English went down the drain over the years. *sobs*

Until today, all the VCRs are still with me =) Like what Barney says to Ted in the latest HIMYM's episode "You're the only idiot that I know that still owns a VCR player". hahah. I'm that idiot too.

My aunt recently flew to KL to visit us. I have been dying to meet her all the time, her last visit to m'sia was in 2005? And, her last cny celebration with us was in 1991? omg so long agooooo! But the last time I met her was in Melbourne in 2009 =D I wanted to bring her around but too bad I was working, so I only managed to bring her around twice during her 2 week stay. so darn guilty =((

I realize I posted too many pictures in just one day. Tsk tsk tsk. Actually I know when I was posting it yesterday *how could I not know* lol but to be fair too many pictures were missing for the previous posts as well!!! So I could not hold myself anymore when it comes to pictures heh but okay I shall give them a break, just this post. They are still gazillions pictures waiting to be discovered lol.

6 more days. To. Hell. It's not like my first day of uni or what but I've never felt so afraid and miserable before in my life. The last time I had this same feeling was 2-3 years back when all my close uni friends abandoned me for Australia T______T but it wasn't as scary as now. Because I know nobody in my uni now. T__________T

I shall take a lot of pictures this semester. Why?! It's gonna be mr.boyf's very last semester. Sigh. After this semester I will be completely alonee. omgwtfbbq. No more driving to uni together, no more eating and studying together during finals. I know I'm uber dependent.. But it's not easy to let goooo T_________T
I just want to graduate as soon as possible. Please..

Time table is out this morning.. For the first time since first year I have classes on Friday omgwtfbbq! Nooooo but I need to attend, cannot skip! Sigh. Worse still it's until 5pm. Spoil my weekend mood ish.

I will study very very hard this year. Not kidding. I will study everyday after class I swear! This is my only new year resolution.

Last Christmas..

Last Christmas I spent it with my baby and friends. At Melia hotel and JY's crib. Close, intimate and peaceful gathering suit old lads like us the best hahaha.

Went to try Melia's buffet. No one was there except for me and mr.boyfriend. Seriously. The whole dining floor only had one occupied table, our table. =.=

But the food to be honest was not that bad. Where were the customers?! Funny thing was, before this I tried to google food review for Melia but it came out zero search result. Very weird. Why none of you wants to give this place a chance to prove you wrong. lol.

I'm not saying the food was superbly good but it was really okay.

But. of course the dessert is nothing comparable to shang ri la's. =p

I'm deeply loved.

Nothing beats having a great family in your life. I'm so blessed to even have both of my grandparents by my side every single day.. It's my biggest dream.. for them to see me get married one day. It's my biggesst biggest dream.

It always saddens me to know how the older generation suffers and sacrifices so much to earn a living last time. I cry everytime when I listen to the past. How my family lived through their everyday lives. We weren't born rich, so much hard work was done to guarantee a better life. Their story of life can be written and transformed into a best selling novel ever. The story was amazing, true story heh. They really thought me the true meaning of perseverance, the way they overcome obstacles were just unbelievable. Without them, I wouldn't be here happily blogging away. I'm greatly blessed.

Shang-ri-la & Furama

I know many of you had tried the famous shang ri la buffet. Sad to say it was my first time trying few months back lol. The food was really good. I especially love the dessert. The dessert was so damn delicious I tell you! Will definitely come back for more, especially for dessert omg! For those who have yet to try please try it out. You will definitely come back for more, like me! hahahah.

Next, BBQ poolside buffet at a newly open hotel named Furama. The ambience was pretty okay, actually it was really nice. However the service and food were so darn bad. Really bad. I can get a so much better BBQ food from me and my friend's BBQ party not long ago. My friends can cook so much better food than Furama omg. Nevertheless I enjoyed my time with my family and mr.boyf tagged along too!

Took me a long time to post this up. I was so reluctant to blog as all I want to do is sleep through the whole day. *yawning* I realize no one blogs anymore. Blogs that I follow all are rusty like mine. All are old already heheheh.

Oh I stop working already!! Last Thursday was my very last day answering calls =)) My last customer was an English, glad that the call went alright. My superior threw powder at me, waived goodbye to all my friends and that was the last moment of being a customer service officer for tigerairways. It was an eye-opener experience that I'm never going to forget. U don't get a chance to talk to people from Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, India, Philippines, Australia, England, USA, Japan and ect all in one day, right? I got cursed and praised by ridiculous and wonderful customers. Let's just say it's a love hate relationship hahahah.

It was sad leaving those wonderful customers and my wonderful friends that I got to know working at tigerair. They are the ones you can talk to after a frustrating day. I can't imagine working here without having them around, seriously.

I can't believe I'm saying this.......but.....but....I really really really really like this part time job!!
It's too early to judge anything as I haven't go "live" yet, but the working environment is superb! The office is huge, each cubicles is huge, it has gym and pool. Omg that's totally cool! Best of all??? I love the people!! They are so amazingly friendly!!!!!!!! The only thing I dread the most is the traffic. Got to spend at least 1 hour plus to reach the office. The LDP to federal interchange is a total nightmare. I stuck there for 40 minutes once, not moving.

Now... I hope I can take leave for cny.

I finished reading 2 more novels *proud of myself*!!

I got a part time job. It's in ara damansara, as a customer service officer for tiger airways. Further now, petrol and tol and also parking fee are all killing me. RM7 per day. Not forgetting $$ for food. omGEEE. It's quite scary, lots to learn, I really hope I can excel in this job. It would be a totally new experience for me.

Reading back my very very old posts from many many years ago, I've never felt this stupid and embarrassed. I can't believe those were actually coming from me. What on earth was I thinking back then? Why would I write such rubbish posts? I was immature, an extremist and...immature. OMG. I had the urge to delete them after reading each of those rubbish...I never wanted anyone to read them *but then I think nobody does lol* but I decided not to delete, as a proof of how stupid I was back then *and also how much I've grown as a woman?* =.= some were lame, some were just unacceptable. And those pictures? OMG so ugly. Why would I think it was ok to post them online. Just plain OMG. Apart from all these stupidness, it brought back precious memories though. My youth. Now I'm like just saying "I'm too old for these stuff". Damn I'm old.

I'm so happy but the excitement only lasted for a minute, as my mind flew to the unbearable next semesters. *stress stress stress and more stress* *I just want to graduate, please*

My holiday so far has been very unproductive. I went to the second interview like I mentioned earlier and thought I got the job but guess what. I have to wait for them to decide who to choose as they are more candidates coming in for interview. *gulp* *what?!?!?* I wasted my time for all these please tell me i got the job!! Feeling so guilty staying at home when I can get my ass out and earn some money with all these wasted time >.< But I can't find another yet, what if they call me? So I decide to wait, until this thurs/friday. Have a feeling they won't want me as I can't work for the whole 3 months duration. =(( argghh! please hire me!

So what did I do at home? House chores, completed few novels *still got 5 more new and untouched books with the wrapper still on, very fresh*, and got myself totally drawn to Masterchef US. >.< I never thought I will get addicted to it. Just one episode, made me hunger for more. =.= It was niceeee!!! HIMYM was so heartbreaking. *sigh* but was good in a way. Just sad.

I didn't exercise. What happen to meeeeeee. shiiiittttt.

Hello again! After what seem like a thousand years ago........
I know right, so rusty and dusty now, my long abandoned blog =.=

I'M SO LAAAZZZZYYYYY to write blog now. In fact, do people still write and update their blogs? A lot of blogs are so rusty now, not just mine heh. Nevertheless, I'm gonna wipe it clean for a minute or so.

Waved goodbye to another semester. Seeing my friends happily presenting their final huge project with huge sign of relief and waiting for the big step into their next stage of life, made me feel so happy for them but can't help but feeling so sad for myself. What a mixed feeling that is. I pictured myself come to that point of life, can't wait for it to happen. I cant stand Monash anymore. I need to get out of there. I need to move on. I can't wait to work, earn and travel and start a family of my own *grins* teeheee.

Oh speaking of work, I found this job on the internet *I want $$ and experience*, which required me to go all the way to KL for an interview. I was quite surprised initially. I wasn't prepared for the interview AT ALL. After that, I got even more surprised. I need to go for a second interview. @@ *so serious, like a permanent job interview*. It's scheduled on Friday, wish me luckkkk k.

Oh, I went to Hong Kong!! And also Macau!! I was so happy as it has always been my dream to travel with mr.boyfriend. It was more like a spontaneous/impromptu trip, a very last minute thing. Spent hell lots of money over there which is why I'm so darn broke right now. So broke to the point that I can't afford to buy any nice birthday present for the silly boy. I made a cake, again, but no improvement. Reason being? I baked twice in my life, first was his 20th birthday and now this. How to improve? lol

2011 is ending soon. Very soon I'll be turning 23. SO OLD. Crap. Eager to move on but hoping the time to freeze. =.= 'You're the apple of my eye' made me scream for a time machine, high school life is still the best.

I remembered my blog.
Gosh..
It has been so long. I have been so reluctant to write, just couldn't find the right time and the right moment. I used to be this person who loved to write diary everyday. I loved to tell my diary everything, especially when I was feeling really down. Some people throw things to express their anger, some people scream, some people hit the gym and sweat it out, some people drink and drunk, some people keep themselves occupied. I, on the other hand, cry and used to write every single bit down on my diary.

And my diary was always soaking wet. *okay not soaking wet but wet*
I write and I cry. Tears drop and sometimes my writing smudges.

Nowadays laziness has taken it's toll on me. I feel sad but I'm just too lazy to take a pen to write though deep down I really wanted to tell my ex-BFF - dear diary. So I sleep. I sleep very early sometimes because its my solution to not think about anything right now. I know it can't solve anything but at least I can rest my mind for a little while, in a way it helps my skin and health also. Why not? ngek ngek ngek~

But I kinda miss my diary, and also my BFF whom I always talk to on the phone last time. I miss them ;(

Everyone's celebrating..everyone's graduating..soon enough they will start on a new journey of life. I'm still here, struggling.. I really have no idea how to survive, now without all my friends that I know. I feel so useless, sometimes I just wish I can turn back time, I could have chosen a different path. I want to do better and I'm still trying very hard. And it's really really difficult. I broke down a several times thinking bout my future.. I know its too late but I will try harder..and harder..to make my parents proud.

Heard there's this new restaurant which serves the best pork in town. PORK RIBS babe! I never had a decent one in Malaysia, the last time was in South Africa it was so good I went fingerlickingood.

Liverpool was in town for the very first time. As a die hard fan since 11, this is the time :)

Went to Penang again. This time, for food. I go there almost every year and it never fails to excite me.

Started journey at 5.30am. a beautiful view of sunrise.

And beautiful sakura/jacaranda look-alike trees.

For a moment I thought I was at overseas enjoying beautiful scenery.

Then back to reality when I saw a horrible accident.

Why do we have people getting killed in the car accident everyday? And one of the top ones in the world?

Tried to move on but the past still penetrates and damn it hurts. I tried all my best to win this battle, tell me why eventually, I end up in this miserable no where. Baby brought me to KL after his work to try one of the cafe we've been longing to try ages ago. Happily we went, only to find out it was closed. wtfbbq. I'm back with more pictures teehee. Almost killed by the amount of stress from the recent finals but I think..I think..I hope I can pass. Committed some unforgivable silly mistakes. I'm so smart that I assume something that is steady state to be transient instead. Gone caseee!

To study you need significant amount of energy therefore you need food. Have I mentioned that I have this mixed feeling for exam periods? Who likes sitting for exam anyway? I don't but on the other hand I treasure this time of the year a lot. It's the only time I get to spend "quality" time with mr.boyf during the weekends, weekdays, from day to night. =D

I was told that I am being too hard on myself, too stressed out. By my supervisor! It was so kind of her to provide me such valuable advises and guidance, and now I realize I adore her, alot. Thanks for everything. I'll try my very best and pls, don't fail me k. ;)

HIMYM's season 6 finale was so nicee, finally a few episodes worth watching in this sucky season. Season 7 you better be awesomee!

On another note, I think I made it, I've almost stopped running, letting go of you was never easy, but I'm tired.

Home is not the best place to study. Well, I have got serious issue studying at home.
I need library.

But Monash library is way too noisy, more like a fish market. Apart from the noise, there are drink stains, cups, papers everywhere on the floor and tables. Plus, you have to be in uni before 9am or else no nice spots for you?

Study area outside comp lab? Super noisy at times. & I need air-con.

Starbucks/Pacific coffee or basically any coffee shop? Very noisy. It's not library after all, so I can't give noisy people the you-are-dead look.

Bf's house? His dad watches TV sometimes thus my eyes & brain will not be on the book.
Plus, there is sofa = sleep.

Taylor's library? Noisy.

Sunway library? Hmm. I used to go there all the time. Like the quiet study area. But small and very dark. May not get tables.

The Curve's/Midvalley's/Avenue K's/Puchong Library?! Hell yeah! Best library! 10 towers please!!!!! ><

In conclusion: I'm super picky. Best is to get an ear-plug. It always works. But one thing for sure, my home is a big no-no. I will end up sleeping and watching youtube.

I've been sitting all day long. Including the weekends. Why isn't my butt getting any bigger??!

To my surprise I kinda like writing FYP report. It's like writing something big (although it isn't), putting all my 12 weeks effort into a great piece of work (it isn't), to achieve something bigger (again, it isn't). But! after weeks of hard work I really hope it pays off. The problem is, I'm not good at it. *digging for more journals*
The nightmare starts to pay me a visit everytime in my dream, I realize this normally happen a few weeks before some serious judgement days. I dreamt of all kinds of things that could possibly go wrong and there you have me tossing and turning all night long.

Life, what the hell are you? You made me realize, made me give up something that I once held so dearly. Until I finally face the reality. My patient is off the limit. Time, shows the true colour. So, au revoir to you.

A very unique restaurant which serves very healthy food. All the dishes are less salt, oil, sugar and no artificial flavours while retaining the original aroma of tea. If you love tea as much as I do, this will be your love.

Bro invited his friend over to watch the football match together. Liverpool vs. Newcastle. See the picture above? It was like 7 against 1 in my place. ;)

A fruitful trip to Europe. The pictures taken were so beautiful. I especially love Switzerland the most, not France. In fact not at all for France. Pickpockets, dirty and messy streets, high crime rate and extremely snobbish + RUDE French are a big turn off. It's not like I've been there myself but for a "city of romance" to receive such terrible criticisms not only from my parents but also my friends, it's not my dream-to-go place anymore. :(( So if you were to take public transport in France please beware of pickpockets aite? :)

However I kinda fancy this French restaurant. Levain. Tried different things this time.

The last time I came the hot item-macaroon was completely sold out. Not really my favourite, not much of a dessert, more like chewing a sweet. But it was nice afterall. :)

Splurged on something. Very guilty. But I wanna give it a try. I never put on anything to my face (I dislike make up besides the occasional eyeliner) besides my moisturizer and that also for the sake of the basic face-care routine. But the damn UV has been causing trouble to my skin and I decided to finally do something after so long. Serves me right. Hope this newly launched product will make a difference. It better be good.

Holiday = lab-day, Boo hoo library.

Come to building 9 level 5, you'll find me there between 8.30am-6pm almost everyday. Yeap, this is my holiday. Research isn't fun at all, well maybe it's just me as getting stuck in the same place same room doing same/similar things plus waiting and waiting and more waiting is not my thing. I think that summarizes the overall picture of our projects, we spend most of our time waiting for our results. And then machines break down, things get haywired. Mine isn't so smooth-sailing either, got to re-run for a few times, 3 more weeks to week 11, a week for us to present our work to all the lecturers, students and examiners. Gosh how can we finish and obtain all of our results in time??! Praying hard that everything goes my way, 4 more weeks to go.

Ok some food pictures and random stuff.

Brunch @ Levain. Took a day off, decided not to go lab but headed down to Levain to chill. Really nice place, saw a pretty girl sitting there eating pastries with her friends and she was still there when I was done eating, playing cards, listening to ipod and having coffee with her friends. I wish to be that free too, free from projects and exams, stress-free, think of nothing else other than what to eat and play next lol. My time will come to me soon, on June 11th! WHEE~! Crave for a June/July trip with buddies but the chances are not high. Nevertheless I'm heading south, to Singapore once again!!! WHEEE~!!

Average price for the main courses: RM 9.90. Extremely cheap for a cafe which offers such awesome ambiance.

The guy with the colourful shirt is a well-known local artist.

A first thing that caught my eye and took my breath away when I entered the restaurant? The pastries, goddess.

The smell made my drum rolled at its maximum speed.

After the much satisfying meal, mr.boyfriend bought those killer breads with a total cost of RM52++. Don't get me wrong, it's not expensive at all. As you can see from the pictures below, the average price for each bread is RM3.20++. If you don't have a big appetite, my advice is to save the maincourse, go for more pastries/breads. The main course are okays but their breads are awesome.

This picture will look better if that two empty trays had been replenished at the moment I snapped it down.

Ham something. I would love to have 10 of them for my next visit. So awesome.

JY's random shoots. Oh btw, I hate Puchong Library. Seriously, the band sucks. The band ruins the mood. Not up to standard. Unlike Library Damansara/Midvalley, no hot/pretty girls. Ladies here don't quite dressed up, many of them were in t shirts and short pants. There were water leaking/dripping down from the roof at the place where I was sitting at. At 12.30am the staff told us they need to close as there will be an OPERASI. WHAT THE F? I don't quite get what it means but I'm assuming they don't have license?!?! Couldn't ordered anymore, jeez one tower wasn't enough. Went over to Republic, it's been ages since my last visit. Gosh that's even worse. Lousy music + lousy beer. The beer tasted weird, very diluted I suppose. Ew. No cards to play. Can't chat as the music was too loud. What a disappointing night. Went back home with a very grumpy mood. $$$ gone with a very disappointing night out.

No happening pub nearby. Guess Damansara&TTDI&Changkat are the only happening places?

I really really need to start working on my final report.

April fool is kinda big to me. Not to fool/play pranks on people but a meaningful day to me. It's my mum's, friends', cousin's birthdays. Big enough? ;)

It sucks that time has to fly this fast. People grow old every second and minute and before you realize crows feet and fine lines start to show up. There will come a time when you will dislike your birthdays, well to me that is, a mixed feeling. Birthdays after 21 means aging-days. Not only to you but also your parents and grandparents. Sorry for being cynical. Well, my point here is, I celebrated mummy's birthdays and I have mixed feeling about it. =p
